One Little Independent Records
Originally founded in 1985 by members of anarchist punk band Flux Of Pink Indians, One Little Independent Records was inspired by the DIY principles and ideals of independent labels such as that created by anarcho-punk band Crass. Since its inception the label has prided itself on giving complete control to artists it feels deserve a shot at a wider audience. Early success was found with the likes of Alabama 3, The Sugarcubes, Chumbawamba, The Shamen, Skunk Anansie, Sneaker Pimps and more.
OLI continues to champion talent across punk, pop and beyond with a focus on the leftfield and the conceptual. We’ve worked closely with environmental groups and charities with an aim to raise funds and awareness linked to structural inequalities, climate activism and more. The label is now home to the likes of Björk, Ásgeir, Poppy Ackroyd, Glasser, Kathryn Williams, Galya Bisengalieva, Laura Misch, Bad Breeding, Arny Margret, Delilah Holliday and many others.
